Breathe

Alma Grange is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the idyllic Welsh countryside. The West Wales coast offers a selection of amazing walks along the Ceredigion Coastal Path and Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, and wonderful beaches to enjoy. Here are a few suggestions:

Poppit Sands

10 minutes away, at the end of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and where the Teifi meets the Irish sea, Poppit Sands offers sand, rockpools, the dunes, a great café and ample parking.

Mwnt Beach

Again only 10 minutes away, this beautiful beach is set in a sheltered cove and is overlooked by the famous Foel y Mwnt hill and its other famous landmark, a 14th century small white church.

Llangrannog

Continuing northwards, another favourite is the beach at the quintessential coastal Ceredigion village of Llangrannog, which is home to a couple of great beaches, some excellent pubs and cafes. The coastal walk around Ynys Lochtyn offers amazing views of the Welsh coastline.

Newport Sands

Back in Pembrokeshire and around 25 minutes from Alma Grange is Newport, which sits beneath Carn Ingli, a former volcano and one of the Preseli Hills. The village itself contains some great cafes, pubs and a very good art gallery.

The Welsh Wildlife Centre & the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve

This is a great place for bird spotting along the marshes of the River Teifi and has a number of activities for children throughout the year.

Preseli Hills

Where the bluestones of Stonehenge originally came from, the Preseli Hills offer a variety of hiking options and fantastic views.
